A personal loan is a loan that can be either secured by a Generations account, or unsecured, based on your credit. Personal loans offer fixed payment terms for the life of the loan so you know exactly how much you will pay each month for budgeting. If you prefer more flexibility, a Generations line-of-credit gives you access to funds only when you need them, with a lower rate and payments.

Q. What should I expect to happen after I apply online?

A. Your online application will be processed quickly and efficiently, no longer than one working day.

Q. How do I make my payment?

A. You can make a payment to your personal loan from your eligible Generations' accounts via online banking when you click on the “Loans” tab. For your convenience, you can setup automatic payments to your loan from your accounts to occur monthly, bi-monthly, semi-monthly or weekly.

Q. How do I view my loan balance?

A. You can view your balance via Online Banking by selecting the “Accounts” tab, or by calling our automated voice response system at 210-229-1850.

Q. Are there any penalties if I prepay my personal loan?

A. No, there are no repayment penalties for your personal loan.

Q. Can I have more than one personal loan at the same time?

A. Yes, with credit approval, you may have more than one personal loan at a time.

Immediate Excellence Since 1986, the Credit Union staff has listened attentively, then acted decisively. Their attention to detail has allowed my family to upgrade vehicles, finish home repairs and enjoy vacations we could not seem to save for.
