In keeping with the changes in season, Generations FCU is transitioning from cultivation and planting to growth mode. As we’ve worked to make it easy for members to do business with our credit union, we’re getting our message out to the market to extend our value proposition to current and new members.
On March 1, 2018, we kicked off game-changing new initiatives in Management Information Systems and Marketing. MIS launched our new online and mobile banking platform, with delivery to members coming in September 2018. Working with partner Q2, management of these channels will roll-up into a single system, enhancing ease of use while adding new features for members, including transactional text banking.
Marketing began work on Raddon member data programs designed to support sales enablement and targeted marketing campaigns. These programs will include the Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) system and marketing campaign management, a branch member study, and a bi-annual member survey. The MCIF system will go live in May 2018, with other programs to follow in the summer and fall.
Our consumer credit card marketing campaign (six-month introductory APR for new cards and balance transfers) debuted in February 2018, and is exceeding goals for new cards opened and balances activated. This campaign will continue through June. We have also implemented a digital advertising campaign to promote our MyAdvantage Checking, Auto Loan and Mortgage products in all counties in our field of membership, and will follow with retail marketing materials. A HELOC promotion is being planned for launch at the end of April.
Community engagement continues, with our continuing Homebuyer Education class on February 23, 2018, at our Northwest Branch, in partnership with the City of San Antonio Housing and Neighborhood Services. On February 24, 2018, Generations FCU also raised scholarship funds as a sponsor of the UTSA Alumni Association Diploma Dash, meeting students, alumni and community supporters. Several employees participated in the 5K, and met prospective members at our booth. Our Commercial team sponsored the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber’s Meet & Greet Business Speed Networking Breakfast at Anne Marie’s Catering on February 28, 2018, with a record 120+ participants attending. Leaders Scholarship applications are being accepted through March 31, 2018, and we expect to receive over 100 submissions this year.
