We’re headed toward mid-2018 with a positive income trend, several major projects at or near completion, and strategic initiatives moving our business forward.
The Sales & Service culture re-set that began at the end of 2017 has resulted in the successful implementation of branch goals and service standards.
We’re currently placing an emphasis on enhancing product and service training and coaching to uncover and meet member needs. We will continue to measure and refine this program as we establish best practices that resonate with members and convey our brand.
I’d also like to announce our 2018 Future Leader Scholars. This year, 85 applicants competed for ten member scholarships and one employee/related scholarship. Applications were received from San Antonio, Boerne, Floresville, New Braunfels and other cities in our field of membership expansion area. General membership winners are Maya Hammer of Stevens High School, UTSA graduate student and teacher Nancy Preyor Johnson, Incarnate Word High School graduating senior Patricia Longoria, UT Austin student Nicolas Rios, Texas A&M student Mark Nicholas Resendez, Belén Bonilla of American University, Diego Gonzalez at UT Austin, Yvette Machado who is graduating from Floresville High School, homeschooled student Kathryn Weyel, and Alamo Colleges student Minnie Mendez. This year’s Generations FCU employee/related scholar is Clark High School student Alexandra Theriot. The final college and university commitments of our graduating high school scholarship winners will be announced on our website in July 2018.
We recently completed the Raddon Financial Group (RFG) Touchstone Survey, where members responded to questions about our brand and values, and look forward to receiving the full report later in May 2018. We kicked off our RFG Member Relationship Survey, which was sent via email, mail and online banking, and which will remain open through June, with reporting in the Fall 2018. In addition, employees will soon be invited to complete the 2018 Top Workplaces Survey, which will help enhance our culture re-set in the coming year.
Look for our community sponsorships to grow this summer, as we continue hosting SA Hispanic Chamber Speed Networking Breakfasts, the partnership with the City of San Antonio’s Homebuyer Seminars, a golf tournament sponsorship with the West SA Hispanic Chamber Golf Tournament, Heroes Appreciation Nights at the SA Missions, and more.
We look forward to continuing to grow the Generations legacy in our extended community.
