As we near the end of the first half of 2018, I am pleased to see the progress and success that the credit union has made this year. Our employees have a lot to be proud of, and our members do as well. With our focus on growth, profitability and becoming a consistently high-performing credit union, we’re certainly on the right trajectory as we move into the second half of the year.

Through the dedicated work of our staff, we had yet another strong financial month. Our Commercial Services Team continues to make great strides in building our commercial portfolio, and our Real Estate Team shows great promise for growth with the recent launch of our Home Equity Lines of Credit, which offer our members a unique interest-only payment option. Kudos to all of the employees who were involved with getting the HELOC program launched, from the development phase all the way to implementation.

In May, Generations sponsored the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Speed Networking Breakfast, as well as the 100 Club of San Antonio Luncheon to help support their mission of providing collegiate scholarships to children of first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In June, Generations also sponsored the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament. As we look ahead toward the remainder of the year, our mortgage team will be hosting a Realtor Open House at our Northwest Branch on June 20, as well as continued homebuyer education classes through our partnership with the City of San Antonio’s Neighborhood and Housing Services.

The Member Relationship Survey we launched in April will wrap up soon, with complete results being provided to us in September. These key relationship survey results will provide us with robust member feedback on overall satisfaction with products and services, input about how we’re meeting our brand promise and actionable data that will help us enhance our sales and service culture, as well as member loyalty and retention efforts.

Marketing is also gearing up increased promotions for MyAdvantage Checking, our in-store branches and the online banking conversion in the next few months.

Thank you for your part in ushering the credit union ever closer to becoming the credit union of choice for individuals and members within our market.
