Generations Remote Services for Social Distancing

Now more than ever is the time to use Generations remote services and convenience services to adhere to safe social distancing.

Our credit union has taken decisive steps toward safeguarding against COVID-19 while ensuring our members continue to receive secure access to their money, lending options, and our credit union’s financial services. While we regret any inconvenience this may cause, our goal is to continue to provide the best possible service with minimal disruption during this community health emergency.

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Judge Nelson Wolff recently issued joint Stay Home, Work Safe Orders. These orders went into effect on March 24, 2020. In light of this, we strongly encourage our members to utilize the following services. By following our community leaders’ direction, we can all help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 


Generations Remote Services You Can Use From Home

Our remote services are designed to give you access to your accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from the comfort of your home. If you don’t already have access to these online, mobile, and over-the-phone services, please contact our Call Center to enroll.

Online Banking

You don’t need to leave the safety of your home to conduct transactions. Online Banking is accessible from anywhere you have internet access. Simply log on to your account to transfer money, utilize Bill Pay, set up notification alerts, and more.

Mobile Banking

Accessible through the Generations app, Mobile Banking provides you with safe access to your money while social distancing. The app is available on iTunes, Google Play, and other mobile device app stores. After downloading, you can use the app to conduct transactions similar to Online Banking. Additionally, the mobile app allows members to deposit checks securely via the Smart Deposit feature. Simply take a snapshot of the front and back of your check to deposit the money.

Extended Call Center hours

In order to better serve our members during this community health emergency, we’ve extended our Call Center hours. You can now reach a Generations representative Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Simply call (210) 229-1128. Our team members are standing by to assist you with your accounts.


With consumer loan rates dropping across the country (including at Generations, where auto loans are now as low as 1.99% APR*), now may be the right time to think about purchasing a vehicle at a lower interest rate. And you don’t even need to leave the safety of your home to shop! Log on to Generations’ AutoSMART website, where you can customize the features of the vehicle you’re looking for and compare prices easily online.


Generations Convenience Services While Social Distancing

We understand that some business cannot be conducted entirely through remote services. This is why we have adjusted our convenience services to fulfill the needs of our members while still practicing social distancing. Should you need to speak face-to-face with one of our representatives or access cash from your account, please use one of the following convenience services.

Extended Drive-Thru Hours

Any business you would normally conduct in our branch lobbies can still be conducted through all of our branch drive-thrus, which remain open. Our credit union has extended drive-thru hours as well for your convenience. For the time being, you may visit any of our drive-thrus Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Night Deposit Boxes

Generations Night Deposit Boxes also remain functional at all stand-alone branches. Simply fill out and deposit a Night Deposit slip at any drop box (located on the outside of all Generations stand-alone branches) to safely conduct transactions while engaging in social distancing. Your transactions will be conducted at the start of the next business day. If you need Night Deposit slips, our team members would be happy to provide those via our branch drive-thrus.


Generations ATMs remain open and available for service. You can find an ATM location near you on our Generations Locations page. We would also like to remind you that Generations FCU is part of the CO-OP ATM Network. CO-OP’s nearly 30,000 ATMs means you have more direct, surcharge-free access to your money than most traditional bank customers do. You can use the CO-OP ATM locator to find a nearby ATM by navigating to the Generations Locations page and scrolling to the bottom for Additional ATM Locations.
