Join us for our Annual Membership Meeting on July 13th!

Business updates and Board Election results will be announced at the GFCU Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Meeting will be held at our Northwest Branch, located at 6000 NW Loop 410. Doors open at 11:30 and meeting will start at noon.

Board Nominees are as follows:

VERONICA GODLEY is Director of Environmental Services at SA Water Systems (SAWS), developing strategic policy and managing water quality programs. Godley holds a BS Chemistry from UTSA, and an MS Hazardous Waste and Material Management from Southern Methodist University. She previously worked with Kelly Air Force Base, the City of SA, and St. Philips College. She participates with the National Forum for Black Public Administrators Executive Leadership Program, Harvard Business Leadership Program, Alamo Laboratory Association Chapter, and Association of Laboratory Managers.


LARRY REED is the current Board Chairman of Generations FCU.  He has served on the Board of GFCU for the past 35 years where he previously served as Treasurer.  Larry is a retired San Antonio Fire Department Captain.  He also serves as a Trustee of the San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund.  His past experience includes being licensed as a Texas Real Estate Broker and Securities licenses Series 6 and 63.  Larry is a graduate of UTSA with a BBA in Finance.


KEVIN BURTON has been a member of GFCU for 20+ years. He retired from the City of San Antonio (COSA) with 20 years of professional service, and served as board member for Retired Employees City of San Antonio (RECOSA). Burton earned a B.A. – Criminal Justice from UTSA, and M.S. – Urban Administration from Trinity University. He’s a: graduate of COSA’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) and FBI Citizens Academy; member of the Texas City Management Association (TCMA); and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).


MIKE TRAINER is a long-time volunteer serving on various GFCU committees, and he is a current member of the Supervisory Committee. Mike retired from the San Antonio Police Department after 39 years of service. In addition to decades of community involvement, he is now President of the San Antonio fire and Police Pensioners Association, Board Member of Retired Employees City of San Antonio (RECOSA), and Commissioner/President of the Board for Wilson County Emergency Services District #1.


WARREN SCHOTT, incumbent, is Executive Director of the SA Fire and Police Pension Fund where he has worked for 25 years. Schott previously worked for Generations FCU for 7 years. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Siguler Guff Distressed Opportunities Fund. Schott is also a member of the St. Louis Men’s Society of St. Louis Catholic Church. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the SA Society of Financial Analysts.


TONY PADGETT joined Renu Robotics in July of 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors, building a sales pipeline for the various Renu Robotics products. Tony has more than 30 years of commercial power expertise. Experience includes VP with MaxGen Energy Services, Director with First Solar, Tony also managed many other power generation facilities and startups as Operations and Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, and General Manager with companies such as Calpine and Constellation.
