What consumer checking account options does GFCU offer?
We have a Basic Checking Account and a MyAdvantage Checking Account. You can see the two accounts compared here.


Is there any charge for my debit card once I open my checking account?
No. When you open a checking account with us, you’ll receive a personalized debit card at no additional cost.


Can I deposit checks on your mobile app?
Yes. Eligible members can use Smart Deposit on their mobile app to deposit checks.


Is there a fee to use your checking accounts?
There is no fee to use our Basic Checking account. Our MyAdvantage Checking account is $5 per month, but with that minimal fee comes substantial value-added savings. There are benefits such as identity theft protection and monitoring, cell phone protection, travel and leisure discounts and shopping rewards, just to name a few!

IDProtect covers yourself, your family and your joint account owners with our identity theft monitoring and resolution service that includes credit file monitoring*, monitoring of over 1,000 public databases, identity theft expense reimbursement coverage1, fully managed resolution services, and more.

What is covered with Cell Phone Protection?1
You will receive up to $400 of replacement or repair costs if you mobile phone has been stolen or damaged you are covered for up to four devices. Your mobile phone bill must be paid through a Generations FCU account.


What is included with AD&D Insurance?1
You’re protected from the unexpected with up to $10.000 of 24-hour Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance. (Coverage divides equally on joint accounts and reduces by 50% at age 70).
