CEO Corner

As Generations’ second quarter is coming to a close, there are numerous updates I’d like to share.

I am very happy to announce the 2018 Future Leader Scholarship recipients and the colleges or universities they will be attending this Fall. Our general membership winners are Maya Hammer, attending Pepperdine University, Nancy Preyor Johnson, attending the University of Texas at San Antonio, Patricia Longoria, attending the University of the Incarnate Word, Nicolas Rios, attending the University of Texas at Austin, Mark Resendez, attending Texas A&M University, Belén Bonilla, attending American University, Diego Gonzalez, attending the University of Texas at Austin, Yvette Machado, attending the University of the Incarnate Word, Minnie Mendez, attending Northwest Vista College, and Kathryn Weyel, attending Austin Community College. Alexandra Theriot, this year’s Generations FCU employee/related scholar will be attending Texas A&M University. We are very proud of all of our future leader scholars and the bright futures that are ahead of them!

In the last three months, Generations has had wonderful opportunities to grow and support our community. In May, Generations hosted the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Speed Networking Breakfast, which provided a networking opportunity to grow business relationships between the Hispanic Chamber members. On June 1, Generations sponsored the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s eight annual golf tournament. These events were great successes, and we are very proud to have been a part of them.

As we look forward to the remainder of 2018, there are many initiatives staff members have been working diligently to execute. One of the largest initiatives is the conversion of our online banking system and mobile banking app. At the end of August, we will be bringing you a new and improved virtual banking experience, allowing both our consumer and commercial members to bank anytime, anywhere, from any device like never before.

Lastly, I would like to thank our members who participated in our most recent member experience surveys. We value your responses, and they will help us continue to improve and meet your needs and expectations.

I look forward to sharing the successes we achieve throughout the rest of the year and into 2019.

Thank you for your membership.
