Community Engagement Team volunteering at San Antonio Pets AliveOur Community Engagement Team had a great time volunteering at San Antonio Pets Alive! This wonderful non-profit organization helps save dogs and cats, and provides them with shelter until they find their forever home. If you’re thinking about expanding your fur family, please consider adopting from San Antonio Pets Alive, or get details on volunteering!

Blue Cares SAPOA Outreach volunteersWe joined our Blue Cares SAPOA Outreach partners at Woodard Park to serve 400 hamburgers to community members! The Peg-and-Cat-themed event was facilitated by KLRN and United Way to promote reading and education. Every child received a free book that day, and there were several booths for families to visit, including booths for SAFD Safety Officers, parenting booths, counseling booths, STEM groups for girls, and Arts and Music Booths. We’re so glad we got to be part of this community event!

meatball-roll-sWe’re so glad we got to be part of this year’s Meatball Roll event hosted by The 100 Club of San Antonio (Our COO Ken Raymie serves as a board member) as part of their preparation for the 22nd Annual Spaghetti Dinner, an event that raises funds to help the families of fallen first responders. Generations had over 20 volunteers attend the event, and our team alone rolled 560 lbs. of meat! All volunteers total rolled over 20,000 meatballs!

And shout out to the San Antonio Police Department , the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and the San Antonio Fire Department who rolled meatballs with us. It was great to see you all, and thank you for everything you do for our community!
