July 2022 – #GFCUCares Events

Quarterly All-Staff Meeting and SAPA Donation Collection

The entire Generations team came together for our quarterly all-staff meeting, marking the second time we’ve all been under one roof since the start of the pandemic. We celebrated our many achievements year-to-date, both on the business side of things, as well as our fundraising and charitable giving efforts which currently total more than $130,000! Staff members also brought along donations for San Antonio Pets Alive, collecting more than 300 blankets, linens, towels, and new pet food items for the organization. We loved getting to see one another to celebrate and build on our momentum to continue “making waves” for our members and the community!

SAFD Coed Hero Like Her Camp

This year, The San Antonio Fire Department hosted the first coed #HeroLikeHer camp day. It was so inspiring to see what could potentially be the next generation of firefighters learning and growing together. Generations FCU was proud to sponsor this event and to have our employees volunteer their time as part of this educational and skill-building experience.  #GFCUCares #MakingWaves

SAFD Hero Like Her Camp

Every year, the San Antonio Fire Department hosts Hero Like Her, a camp for girls interested in becoming firefighters. Generations FCU was proud to sponsor the event and even more proud to have our employees volunteer their time! Throughout the week, campers got to hear from female firefighters who showcased their expertise. They also got to participate in strength obstacles, try on all of the equipment and so much more! It was so inspiring to see what could potentially be the next generation of firefighters learning and growing together. We’re already looking forward to next year’s camp and hope that it will continue to grow in popularity.

The 100 Club of San Antonio’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

A team of enthusiastic Generations Federal Credit Union volunteers helped roll THOUSANDS of meatballs for The 100 Club of San Antonio‘s annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Friday, July 8th. It was a fun event and we were glad to be able to not only sponsor, but also lend a hand to such a worthy cause! The #100ClubofSanAntonio provides financial assistance to the families of fallen first responders. Their quick response in times of need is truly admirable. We’re proud to have our CEO Ken Raymie sitting on their board, and we look forward to helping out again next year!
