Chrysalis lunchGenerations is proud to support Chrysalis Ministries as a Bronze Sponsor for their New Beginnings Luncheon. This non-profit organization provides life skills and reentry classes to incarcerated individuals who are reentering the general population. Run to RememberWe had a great time at the 18th Annual Run 2 Remember 5K hosted by The 100 Club of San Antonio! This race was created by Sandra Riojas to commemorate her fallen officer husband Rocky Riojas, and now commemorates all fallen first responders.

Letty AwardWe’re thrilled to congratulate our VP of Community Engagement Letty Gonzales who was honored with the “Rising Star” Award by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as part of the 10th Annual “Making A Mark on the World” Women’s Awards. Our Executive VP and COO Ken Raymie attended the event, as well as our entire Community Engagement Team.

100 Club lunchGenerations team members attended The 100 Club of San Antonio‘s annual lunch yesterday awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are children of fallen first responders. This year the 100 Club also honored the surviving family of Bexar County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Officer Chucky. We’re extraordinarily grateful for the service and sacrifices made by these fallen first responders and their families, and we wish the scholarship recipients all the best as they pursue their education.

Team members at the Blue Cares Sporting Clay ShootGenerations FCU was the gold sponsor for the Blue Cares Sporting Clay Shoot this past weekend, an annual event hosted by the San Antonio Police Officers Association to support Blue Cares SAPOA Outreach programs. Blue Cares provides year-round services and assistance to underprivileged, low-income, at-risk children and their families. We ask community members like you for support to help us continue to assist these families. CUFK bowling tournamentA total of 27 Credit Unions for Kids teams bowled to raise $14K+ for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, and teams from Generations raised $915 of that total. Many thanks to all employees, family members and friends who made donations to support both teams!

Habitat build commercialOur Commercial Services Team volunteered for the day at Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio in Lenwood Heights. We’re happy to contribute to such a great cause and support non-profits like Habitat for Humanity that do such wonderful work for our community!
