Board of Directors

Larry Reed has served on the GFCU Board of Directors for more than 20 years. He is a retired San Antonio Fire Department Captain and represents the Retired Firefighters as Trustee on the Fire and Police Pension Fund. He was previously elected by Firefighter Pension Funds across Texas as a Director of the Texas Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems (TEXPERS) from 1998-2005. In 2010, Reed was again elected to the TEXPERS Board of Directors. Reed is a graduate of the University of Texas-San Antonio with a BBA in Finance.

James Smith joined the Generations Federal Credit Union Board of Directors in 2023, after previously serving as an Associate Board Member. He is a Sergeant with the San Antonio Police Department, serving the department since 1992. James is also a Chairman on the San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund and has previously served as an Executive Board member of the San Antonio Police Officers Association (SAPOA). He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Texas Association Public Employee Retirement Systems (TEXPERS). James also spent 11 years in the United States Army, departing as a captain.

Veronica Godley is Director of Environmental Services at SA Water Systems (SAWS), developing strategic policy and managing water quality programs. Godley holds a BS Chemistry from UTSA, and an MS Hazardous Waste and Material Management from Southern Methodist University. She previously worked with Kelly Air Force Base, the City of SA, and St. Philips College. She participates with the National Forum for Black Public Administrators Executive Leadership Program, Harvard Business Leadership Program, Alamo Laboratory Association Chapter, and Association of Laboratory Managers.

Ervey Banda, retired SA Police Officer and 35-year GFCU member, previously served on the Generations Supervisory Committee for five years. He has been an active member of the SA Police Officers Association, serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Board. He was also a Board Member and Vice President with Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas for 15 years.

James W. Bell has been a Generations Federal Credit Union Member for 16 years. He has been an employee of a San Antonio area school district for 10 years. James currently serves as the CEO and one of the founding fathers of (L.I.T.T) “Life In The Tongue” nonprofit organization. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BS in Criminal Justice in 2004. He also furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s in Computer Information Systems from University of Phoenix in 2010.

Manzano has served on the GFCU Board of Directors since 1985 in various roles that included Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer. Rosalie has worked for the City of San Antonio, UT System and at Alamo Colleges in a variety of public sector jobs involving grant compliance, HR and entrepreneurial consultant services. Manzano also directed multimillion-dollar economic business development and workforce training partnership programs serving communities large and small. Manzano is a Certified Volunteer Expert (CVE), awarded by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions and holds an M.A. in Urban Studies from Trinity University and a B.A. in Public Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Bart Moczygemba started his career with the San Antonio Fire Department in 1973 and has been a member of GFCU for more than 40 years. He currently serves as Vice President of the SA Fire & Police Pensioners Association, and was previously a trustee with the San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund for more than 12 years.

Anthony “Tony” Rogers, Ph.D., previously served as GFCU Supervisory Committee Chair. As Fire Science Coordinator Instructor for the Fire Science Program for Northside Independent School District (NISD), Rogers manages dual college credit and certification programs for high school juniors and seniors. He serves as an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University (College Station) and Southern Illinois University, and is a 29 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Reserve. Rogers has worked with municipal and educational organizations in Human Resources and Leadership management roles, and is a former Chair of the City of San Antonio Affirmative Action Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from University of Texas at San Antonio, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Doctorate of Philosophy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.

Warren Schott is the Executive Director of the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund where he has worked for 25 years. Prior to the pension fund, Schott worked for Generations Federal Credit Union for 7 years. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Siguler Guff Distressed Opportunities Fund, a $600 million company that invests in companies undergoing financial distress, operating difficulties and significant restructuring. Schott is also a member of the St. Louis Men’s Society of St. Louis Catholic Church. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the San Antonio Society of Financial Analysts.
