Move Your Auto Loan to GFCU and Get Up to $400 Cash Back1, no payments for up to 90 days2 and rates as low as 4.95% APR*!

Is Now a Good Time to Move Your Auto Loan over?

If you financed a vehicle in the last few years, now may be a good time to take another look at your auto loan.

You love your car. It gets you where you need to be, fits your lifestyle, and has been reliable.  But, what about your auto loan?  Many San Antonio drivers purchased vehicles when auto loan rates were higher and may still be paying an interest rate that no longer makes sense for their financial goals. And while most of us remember to shop around when buying a vehicle, we don’t always think about shopping our auto loan again after we drive off the lot.

If your current interest rate is higher than today’s available rates, or you simply want to improve your monthly cash flow, refinancing could potentially save you money.  Maybe you have paid down debt, built a stronger payment history, increased your income, or simply improved your overall financial picture. The loan that made sense when you bought your vehicle may not be the best fit for you today.

Moving your auto loan over to Generations (GFCU) means paying off your existing auto loan with your current lender and refinancing the remaining balance with GFCU – new terms, new rate, new payments! Depending on your current loan and the terms you qualify for, a simple move could lower your monthly payment, reduce the amount of interest you pay over time, or even help you pay off your vehicle sooner.

And the timing may be especially helpful.  As we head into the holiday season, a little extra room in the monthly budget can go a long way.  Borrowers who move their auto loan to GFCU can get up to 90 days before their first payment is due2. Make your move and refinance in September, and that could mean no auto loan payment due until December,  giving you a little more flexibility while you are celebrating the holidays, spending time with family, traveling, or even treating yourself!

Plus, you could receive up to $400 cash back1, with qualifying rebates paid after 120 days when the loan remains current.  So that September move to GFCU means your cash back could arrive in January, just as the holiday season wraps up and the new year begins.

Still Asking Why Now Could be a Good Time to Move Your Auto Loan?

Take a look at your current auto loan and ask yourself a few questions. Would a lower monthly payment give your budget more breathing room? Could you save money over the remaining life of your loan? And when was the last time you actually compared your auto loan to what’s available today? Even a small reduction in your rate can make a meaningful difference over time.

And right now GFCU members can take advantage of rates as low as 4.95% APR*, receive up to $400 cash back1, and enjoy no payments for up to 90 days2.

  • Take advantage of up to $400 cash back1
  • Get up to 90 days before your first payment is due2
  • Lower your interest rate and potentially reduce your monthly payment*
  • Reduce the amount of interest you pay over the remaining life of your loan*
  • Free up room in your monthly budget

Take a second look at your current auto loan

You already shopped for the car. Now it may be worth shopping the loan. If your current auto loan is somewhere else, make the move to GFCU! Your rate, your payment, and your budget may thank you for it!

Remember…. Your car may be the same. Your loan doesn’t have to be.
