#GFCUServes in September
A few of our departments kicked off #GFCUServes in September at Haven for Hope, Meals on Wheels, and the San Antonio Food Bank. We have enjoyed the opportunity to go out with our teams and give back to the community and members whom we serve.

National Latina Day Luncheon
GFCU proudly celebrated National Latina Day at the South Texas Business Partnership Latinas con Fuerza Luncheon. We were honored to attend this event and hear from inspiring women who are on a mission to empower and make an impact. May we continue to celebrate the strength, resilience, and beauty of Latinas everywhere.

TEXAS YES Box of Dreams School Supply Distribution
The #GFCUCares Team joined the TEXAS YES Project to distribute school supply kits to several Title 1 elementary schools across San Antonio. This effort was part of their Box of Dreams Program, which provides students with quality supplies and resources in the classroom to help them achieve long-term academic success. Our CEO, Rick Divina, proudly serves on the TEXAS YES Project Board, which is committed to closing the gap for educational equality.

TXGRG Grandfamily Picnic
The #GFCUCares Team volunteered at the Texas Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (TXGRG) Grandfamily Picnic at Rosedale Park. This joyful community event celebrates the strength and love of grandfamilies across the state with games, fellowship, and a classic picnic menu of burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, pickles, and more.
Our team jumped in to help with concessions and activities—including lending a creative hand as face paint artists for the kids! It was a day filled with laughter, fun, and plenty of picnic favorites, all in support of the grandfamilies who play such an important role in their communities.

Communities in Schools of San Antonio Supply Drive
The #GFCUCares Team delivered over 1,300 items to help Stuff the Bus for Communities in Schools of San Antonio. We also presented a check for $2,786 funded by employee donations to help purchase additional school supplies. Thank you to our members and staff who helped make this possible.
GFCU VP Brent Mora sits on the Board of Communities In Schools of San Antonio, which helps provide basic needs, academic assistance, life skills, and so much more to schools in the San Antonio area. Learn more at CISSA.org.

GFCU 85th Anniversary TV Raffle
Generations FCU proudly marked its 85th anniversary of serving the San Antonio community with a celebration that brought outstanding member engagement across all seven branches. As part of the festivities, each branch hosted a raffle awarding an 85” Insignia Fire TV and a grocery gift card to lucky winners. The excitement was palpable, and the event showcased our strong connection with members while reinforcing our long-standing commitment to the community we proudly serve.
