Corporate Cup 2023

Corporate Cup 2023 was nothing short of a blast! GFCU Cares did an outstanding job raising funds and participating in all the activities, keeping agile and active throughout. We were thrilled to raise $57,528 for the Charity Challenge, get first place in Tailgate, and finish second in our division! We can’t wait for next year; the planning process for dominating in 2024 is already underway. Can’t stop, won’t stop. #GFCUCares #MakingWaves

Boysville June Birthdays Celebration

Happy Birthday to the kiddos at Boysville, Inc. celebrating birthdays in June! Our #GFCUCares team joined Sparky and the San Antonio Fire Department, Bexar County Sheriff Mounted Patrol, the SAPD East SAFFE, and the San Antonio Spurs Coyote to bring on the birthday cheer. Boysville board member Adrian Lopez and his family cooked up delicious burgers and hotdogs and our team served lunch and cupcakes to over 100 children, staff, and volunteers. We also made a splash with water balloons, games, piñatas, and a giant water slide! Our VP of Member Engagement is Boysville Board Secretary, and we’re honored to help support their mission to provide a safe family environment for children in need so they may become responsible adults. And Happy 80th Birthday to Boysville! #GFCUCares

Annual Ribs & ‘Ritas

We had a wonderful evening, as a Gold Sponsor, at the Annual Ribs & ‘Ritas event which was full of super great food, and people. This event raises funds for the First Chance Foundation, which provides support to soundly-managed non-profit organizations on the front line of helping children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. They have provided support to more than 30 organizations in San Antonio and surrounding areas in the Texas Hill Country. SJRC Texas, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, Day 1 Bags, Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA), Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, Girls on the Run Bexar County, and San Antonio Sports are just a few of the beneficiaries of the First Chance Foundation. #GFCUCares
