11th Annual Police Turkey Express
We brought our 11th Annual Turkey Express event home with delivery of smoked turkeys and all the trimmings to every San Antonio Police Department substation, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Castle Hills Police Department, and Balcones Heights Police Department. We are so grateful for the service of our police officers and deputies who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe, thank you for all you do. Our sincere thanks to Gabe Bondoc and the pit team who served up this year’s delicious turkeys from Iron Q Barbeque & Catering.

11th Annual Turkey Express
We’re giving thanks to the first responders in our community with our 11th Annual Turkey Express festivities, featuring #SAPD Chief McManus, SAFD Deputy Chief Monestier, and GFCU President & CEO Ken Raymie! The GFCU Cares Team gathered at our St. Mary’s Branch to pick up turkeys, hams, and holiday cheer for delivery to San Antonio Fire Department, Balcones Heights Fire Department, and Castle Hills Fire Department. SAFD Sparky and SAPD McGruff were also on hand to get a taste of the Thanksgiving feast!
32nd Annual Blue Santa Golf Tournament
We hit the green for the 32nd Annual #BlueSanta Golf Tournament with Blue Cares SAPOA Outreach! Proceeds from today’s tournament benefit the #BlueSanta program which helps provide toys to ensure every child in our community has a smile on Christmas by providing for families who might not otherwise see a wrapped present under their tree. #BlueCares is the community outreach program of the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association, supporting underprivileged, low-income, or at-risk children and their families in our community. #GFCUCares #MakingWaves
Ma Hila’s Heart Donation
The #GFCUCares Team had the opportunity to present a check for $3,540 this month to Ma Hila’s Heart. Ma Hila’s Heart is on a mission to provide support, hope, and strength to families in need. No one should face this journey alone, let’s make a difference together. Generations President and CEO serves on the Board of Directors for Ma Hila’s Heart Project, an organization founded by Gloria Benavidez-Rodriguez to “put our Hearts where the Hurt is” for families battling childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer.
9th Annual Any Baby Can of San Antonio Golf Tournament
We teed up #Fore the 9th Annual Any Baby Can of San Antonio Golf Tournament! It was a wonderful day Canyon Springs Golf Club, with community members and businesses showing support and raising funds for families raising children facing serious health or developmental challenges in San Antonio.
