Generations FCU Hosts Annual Turkey Express: Staff honors SAFD by delivering turkeys to local stations

Turkey Express 2019San Antonio, TX – Thursday, November 14, 2019 – Generations Federal Credit Union (GFCU) will be providing our local, hard-working fire departments with Thanksgiving turkeys. The Turkey Express annual event recognizes and honors the men and women of the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) who continue to protect and serve our community while sacrificing holidays with their families. At the same time, the turkeys will be part of the menu that SAFD will serve in its stations as part of “Operation Home Cooking.” This local program is designed to express warmth and hospitality to Airmen and trainees at Joint San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base by allowing them an opportunity to enjoy a holiday meal in a family atmosphere.

“We’re proud to give back to our San Antonio Fire Department in this way during the holiday season,” stated Ken Raymie, President and CEO of Generations FCU. “These men and women sacrifice spending the holidays with their own families in order to protect ours, and providing a Thanksgiving turkey to each station is just one way we can show our gratitude for their continued service to our community.”
